The proposal would reintroduce the recently removed item 288 in Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) Group A8 – Consultant Psychiatrist Attendances To Which No Other Item Applies.

The detailed description of MBS item 288 is listed in the MBS book published in November 2021¹ .

The proposal would have effect from 1 July 2022.
